My fave summer reads

summer book recommendations

I've really been enjoying getting back into the habit of reading in recent months, so I thought I would share some of my top reads at the moment. ☀️

Lessons In Chemistry - a phenomenal book that I absolutely loved, it is an original storyline and a proper page turner!

The Thursday Murder - this was a good combo of feel good and murder mystery, what more do you need?

Daisy Darker - set in Cornwall and a bit more of the thriller side, but still a good read that keeps you on your toes.

This Is How It Always Is - a beautiful story that shares a glimpse into the life of a trans girl and how her family goes through the transition with her.

The Rosie Project - I have enjoyed both installments of this series, and thought it was a fun read with lots of relatable humour as someone who's neurodiverse and also married to someone who is neuro-spicy.

Luster - this is a gritty book that follows a young black woman that gets involved with a middle-aged white man in an open marriage. The story goes on many twists and turns.
I'm usually much better at making the time to read when on holiday, but I have found that using the Bookly app has really helped me create a daily routine of reading, which is far more fulfilling that watching endless TV or TikToks (in my opinion).

Perhaps you have some good summer reads that you could recommend next? Let me know if you've come across any juicy books recently as I am always on the lookout for the next good read.

As always, lots of love, and I hope you can make some time for the little things that bring you joy like reading. 🙂
