Featured Story

Sophie

Inner Strength!

Sophie with Lashara

Meet Sophie, an extraordinary woman who completely transformed not only her body, but the way she sees herself and moves through life.

When Sophie first started coaching, she was completely new to strength training and lacked confidence in both herself and her body. Like many people, she had spent years caught in the cycle of dieting, restriction, and feeling as though she was constantly failing herself.

Together, we moved away from unsustainable quick fixes and focused instead on building strong foundations, realistic habits, and a healthier relationship with exercise and food.

Through a combination of strength training, mindset coaching, accountability, and consistency, Sophie slowly began to discover just how capable she really was.

What started with 1–3kg dumbbells evolved into lifting barbells with confidence, eventually achieving an incredible 50kg deadlift, something she once never imagined possible.

But the biggest transformation wasn’t just physical.

Sophie developed confidence that extended far beyond the gym floor. From wearing shorts confidently at festivals to stepping into leadership within her career, she began showing up differently in every area of her life.

Watching Sophie grow into her strength has been truly inspiring. Her journey is a reminder that real transformation is about so much more than weight loss or aesthetics. It is about learning to trust yourself, build resilience, and step fully into your own power.

Client Story

Safia

Self Compassion!

Safia jumping for joy in a sunlit park

Meet Safia, a vibrant and determined woman who initially came to coaching with one simple goal: to complete her first 5km run.

What quickly became clear throughout our sessions was that the journey was about far more than running alone. Like many people, Safia had spent years navigating complicated beliefs around health, food, fitness, and self-worth shaped by diet culture and unrealistic expectations.

Together, we combined a personalised Couch to 5km style running programme with mindset coaching, focusing not only on physical progress, but on building a healthier, more compassionate relationship with herself.

Over the course of just a few months, Safia not only achieved her running goal, but completely transformed the way she approached food, movement, and self-care. She learned how to properly fuel her body, listen to its needs, and move away from guilt and restriction.

As Safia beautifully reflected:

“I think one of the things that made a real difference for me is my relationship with food. Overall, how I see things and how I see myself being kinder to myself. Recognising that your body goes through different seasons.”

What makes Safia’s journey so powerful is that the transformation extended far beyond crossing a finish line. Through consistency, support, and mindset shifts, she developed greater self-awareness, self-respect, and confidence in herself and her abilities.

Her story is a reminder that true health is not built through punishment or perfection, but through learning to support your body with compassion, patience, and trust.

Client Story

Edward

Steady Resolve!

Edward at the finish line of his marathon

Meet Edward, a determined and resilient individual who began his journey with Fit Living at a pivotal point in his life.

Balancing a demanding work schedule, a largely sedentary lifestyle, and the emotional impact of a family bereavement, Edward knew something needed to change. Facing concerns around high blood pressure and cholesterol, he made the decision to prioritise his health and commit to a new chapter.

We started with a simple goal: completing a 0–5km running programme over six weeks.

Through structured coaching, accountability, and gradual progression, Edward embraced the process wholeheartedly. Beginning with a walk/run approach, he steadily built his fitness, confidence, and endurance week by week.

What started as a 5km goal soon evolved into something much bigger.

After successfully progressing through a 10km training plan, Edward set his sights on an even greater challenge: marathon training. His journey became a true reflection of consistency, discipline, and the power of showing up for yourself, even when life feels heavy.

Edward’s transformation was not only physical, but deeply mental and emotional too. Running became more than exercise; it became an outlet, a coping mechanism, and a reminder of what he was capable of achieving through perseverance and commitment.

Watching Edward grow in confidence and resilience throughout this process has been incredibly inspiring. His story is proof that it is never too late to take back control of your health, rebuild your confidence, and surprise yourself with what you are capable of achieving.

Rita

Patient Healing!

Rita with Lashara at sunset on a Crete retreat

Meet Rita, a deeply resilient woman who began her journey with Fit Living during one of the most challenging periods of her life.

After being diagnosed with chronic fatigue and struggling with the long-lasting effects of long COVID, Rita found herself feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsupported. Everyday tasks became difficult. Simple activities left her breathless, light-headed, and needing significant periods of rest and recovery.

The impact on both her physical health and emotional wellbeing was profound.

When Rita first reached out, her goal was not about aesthetics or extreme fitness goals. It was about reclaiming her quality of life, rebuilding trust in her body, and finding a sustainable path forward after feeling let down by traditional support systems.

Together, we focused on gentle, realistic, and compassionate progress.

Rather than pushing through exhaustion, our work centred around understanding her body, pacing appropriately, gradually rebuilding strength, and restoring confidence in movement again. Through personalised coaching, lifestyle support, and consistent encouragement, Rita slowly began rebuilding both her physical capacity and belief in herself.

What made Rita’s journey so powerful was her willingness to trust the process, even when progress felt slow. Step by step, she began proving to herself that healing does not always happen through extremes, but through patience, consistency, and learning to work with your body rather than against it.

As her confidence began to grow, so did her willingness to step outside of her comfort zone in other areas of life too. Despite experiencing significant travel anxiety and having travelled very little previously, Rita made the decision to join one of the Fit Living retreats in Crete, something that once would have felt impossible for her.

Not only did she successfully attend, but she went on to join a second retreat and has since become a much loved regular within the retreat community. Watching her move from fear and uncertainty into confidence, connection, and adventure has been incredibly special to witness.

Rita’s story is a reminder that transformation is not always dramatic or linear. Sometimes the greatest victories are being able to move through life with more energy, confidence, independence, and hope than before.

Watching Rita reclaim parts of herself that illness had taken away has been truly inspiring.

Client Story

Andrew

Quiet Rebuilding!

Andrew on a coastal walk with Lashara

Meet Andrew, a thoughtful and resilient man in his 60s who began his journey with Fit Living during a deeply difficult chapter of his life.

Navigating grief, recovering from depression, and searching for a renewed sense of purpose and wellbeing, Andrew made the decision to invest in himself and take meaningful steps toward rebuilding both his physical and mental health.

As Andrew beautifully reflected:

“Investing in myself through my 20 month journey with Lashara has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.”

When we first started working together, Andrew wanted to introduce more movement into his life and explore strength training, something completely unfamiliar to him at the time. Like many people starting later in life, he initially lacked confidence around weight training and wasn’t sure what his body was capable of achieving.

Together, we focused on building strength gradually, creating sustainable habits, and developing a routine that supported not only his physical health, but also his emotional wellbeing and confidence.

Over time, Andrew transformed his relationship with exercise. What once felt intimidating became empowering. Through consistency, patience, and commitment, he developed greater strength, resilience, and self-belief, while also using movement as a powerful tool to support his mental health and recovery.

But perhaps the most remarkable part of Andrew’s journey has been the quiet rebuilding of confidence, stability, and joy within his everyday life.

His story is a reminder that it is never too late to begin again, to learn new things, or to prioritise your own wellbeing. Real transformation is not about perfection. It is about showing up for yourself consistently, even through life’s hardest seasons.

Watching Andrew grow stronger both physically and emotionally over the past two years has been an absolute privilege.

Keerthy

Soft Strength!

Keerthy with Lashara, mid-pregnancy

Meet Keerthy, a thoughtful and determined woman who began her journey with Fit Living looking to create healthier habits, reconnect with herself, and build a more sustainable approach to movement and wellbeing.

When we first started working together, the focus was not on perfection or extremes, but on creating consistency through supportive routines, strength training, walking, yoga, mindfulness, and small daily actions that could realistically fit into her life.

Over time, Keerthy began transforming not only her physical health, but also her mindset and relationship with herself.

Through regular movement, accountability, and ongoing WhatsApp support, she learned to approach wellbeing with greater compassion, patience, and trust in the process. Rather than chasing quick fixes, she focused on building habits and tools that would continue to support her through different stages of life.

During our time working together, Keerthy also navigated pregnancy and motherhood, discovering new levels of strength and resilience along the way.

As Keerthy shared:

“I started working with Lashara just under a year ago. Through exercise, daily WhatsApp support, commitment to movement and mindset work, I am on a journey. I’m growing a little human, I’m stronger, and I love the life I have. Lashara shares tools and practices that will grow with you.”

Keerthy’s journey is a beautiful reminder that health and wellbeing are not about perfection, but about creating a lifestyle that supports you through every season of life.

Watching her grow in confidence, strength, and self-awareness has been incredibly special.
