Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
This policy explains how Lashara Wood (“I”, “me”, “Fit Living”) collects and uses your personal information when you visit lashara.com, download a free resource, subscribe to my newsletter, make an enquiry, or work with me. I am a sole trader based in the United Kingdom and the data controller for this information. You can reach me through the contact form on lashara.com.
What I collect
- Information you give me: your name and email when you download a free guide, subscribe to my newsletter, or use the contact form; any message you send me; and details you share when booking a call or becoming a client.
- Information collected automatically: basic analytics about how the site is used and, where you arrive via a link or advert, the referring source (such as UTM tags or a Google click identifier) so I can understand which content brought you here. I store a shortened, hashed version of your IP address, not the full address.
- Enquiries via other platforms: if you contact me through a third party such as Bark, I receive the contact and enquiry details you submitted there.
How I use it, and my lawful basis
- To send you the free resource you asked for and to deliver services you request, on the basis of your request and our agreement.
- To send you marketing emails, tips and offers, on the basis of your consent, which you give when you sign up, and which you can withdraw at any time.
- To respond to enquiries (including via Bark), on the basis of my legitimate interest in replying to people who have asked to hear from a coach, and taking steps towards a possible agreement.
- To keep records and meet accounting and legal obligations, on the basis of legal obligation.
Who I share it with
I don’t sell your data. I use a small number of trusted providers who process it on my behalf to run my business:
- Flodesk: newsletter email delivery.
- Google (Gmail / Workspace): sending and managing email; website analytics where enabled.
- Dubsado: booking and client management.
- Stripe: payment processing for clients.
- My customer-records system and its hosting provider.
Some providers are based outside the UK (for example in the US). Where that is the case, they operate under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
I keep your information for as long as you are subscribed or a client, and for a reasonable period afterwards, plus any period required for legal or accounting purposes. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data, I will remove it, keeping only what I am legally required to retain, such as a record that you unsubscribed so you are not contacted again.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email, or by replying and asking me to stop. Under UK GDPR you also have the right to access the data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict certain uses, request portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, get in touch through my contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses minimal cookies and local storage: to remember how you arrived (for attribution) and, where enabled, to measure site usage so I can improve it. You can clear these in your browser at any time.
When I send you marketing emails, I may record whether they were opened and whether links in them were clicked, so I can understand what’s helpful and tailor my follow-up. You can stop this at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
